1. ONLINE AUCTIONS is an ongoing electronic auction conducted by Rudnik Numismatics. Bidding in the auction constitutes acceptance of these Auction Terms, as well as our general Terms of Sale.
2. The property in this auction is offered for sale by Rudnik Numismatics for itself. We reserve the right to prohibit any bidder from participating in the auction, to reject any bid, to determine the opening price, to set bidding increments, to withdraw any lot, to bid on our own behalf and to set auction duration.
3. There is no Buyer's fee in this auction.
4. All items are guaranteed genuine. Attribution, date, condition and other descriptions are the opinion of the cataloguer, and no warranty is expressed or implied. An auction sale is not an approval sale. Individual lots may be returned only in the case of serious misdescription or lack of authenticity. Any claim of misdescription must be made within 5 days of receipt of material. Any claim of lack of authenticity must be made in writing by the original purchaser immediately after discovery that an item is not authentic, and upon making such a claim the original purchaser must return the lot to us in the same condition as it was received.
5. Invoices are due and payable immediately upon receipt, and and their handling is otherwise subject to our general Terms of Sale.
6. Bidding is only open to those who can lawfully form contracts and lawfully participate in the auction under applicable laws, and have registered to do so on our web site. Title does not pass until lots are paid in full. The buyer assumes full responsibility for the lot(s) upon receipt; delivery to the buyer's address of record constitutes receipt by the buyer regardless of the identity of the person accepting delivery.
7. Estimates and bids are in US dollars ($US), and bids must be in even dollar ($) amounts. Bidding is peformed only online, and starts from each lot's opening price. "Bid reduction" is in effect: all bids are tretaed as "maximum bids" and our online auction software will perform bidding increments on bidders' behalf as needed, effectively reducing the winning bid to one increment over the next highest one. Bidders are responsible for checking their input, and once a bid is placed it may be cancelled only by Rudnik Numismatics, under special circumstances.
8. Bidding is anonymous, and bidders are publicly identified only by their arbitrary chosen userID. Detailed bidding history for any given auction item is available only after the closing of the auction, and exclusively for active bidders.
9. The winning bidder is the one with the highest bid at the close of the auction. The exact closing time is dynamically determined by our online auction software, based on the projected (earliest) close time and bidding activity during the posted final "sniper protection" time window(s).
10. Under special circumstances, for protection of system integrity under perceived attack, the online auction software may shut itself down; other unforseen circumstances may also lead to system failure. In these rare cases, Rudnik Numismatics will, at its sole discretion, work to resolve in a fair manner the outcomes of affected auctions on an individual basis.
