Intriguing piece. Like in DO 30.2 (description), the space below M appears "obliterated", and the mintmark is muddled (though it might be upside-down top of an undercoin obverse, as there are traces of circular legend both left and right). However, with the plain rev. fields and 'delta' mintmark it doesn't match any of the relevant DO entries for CON or NIC (16, 20, 29, 34), or anything in Sear, Berk, Berk-England or Hunter. Also, appears on obv. overstruck on similar coin, as one can see part of circ. legend below (but seems from different die than the main legend, implying not a double-strike). Finally, interesting plastic style, slightly "Ostrogothic".
