An affordable example of scarce Byzantine silver. The name of the denomination comes from the weight (just above 6 g - though this one is on the heavier end of the usual range); the particular pious reverse Latin legend is rarely found on either Roman or Byzantine issues. Overstruck on what appears to be an earlier hexagram (SB 796), though the trailing control letter seems more as 'gamma' than 'iota'.
