GRADING: AVF / F, olive green patina, slight earthen encrustation, visibly overstruck, scarce w/ unusal overstrike

Visibly overstruck on both sides with the interesting obverse undercoin details clearly showing (on right of throne) the legend "DEMETRI T" - implying a rare for this era appearence of the St. Demetrius, particularly if coupled with the reverse undercoin, which indicates a nimbate figure (saint or Virgin) on the right, holding a patriarchal cross, presumably with an emperor on the left.
