DESCRIPTION .

REFERENCE: SB 2395, Ben (227), DO 762
GRADING: G / F+, dark patina, hairline crack, rare

Only vague traces of the obverse monogram may be discerned, but the reverse unmistakably identifies this very scarce type, with the peculiar representation of a winged emperor, and in a variant of further rarity - with Andronikos in a chlamys. The die appears to be the same as that of the D. Oaks specimen 762 - apparently the only other published specimen of this subtype.
