A popular issue characteristic of the local Asklepian cult emanating originally from Pergamon. Its production continued even after the region became incorporated into the Roman province of Asia (133 BC). A choice specimen, with obverse struck from less worn dies than is typical and unusually well-centered, and a stunningly crisp and bold reverse strike with some luster in the fields.
