Scarce overall type and rare denomination. Similar types (of even smaller denomination) ore often attributed to Teos, though the style here matches the (larger hemidrachm types) given to Phokaia by K. Konuk in the SNG Kayhan catalog. Another defining factor in favor of Phokaia would be a seal behind the griffin's head (as in Von Aulock 2116), but that is absent here.
