Unpublished miniature Archaic fraction with a fascinating reverse. Despite the use of an apparently worn die (with a die break over the forehead area), the reverse is well struck and preserved, and clearly showing an elusive and possibly unknown altogether motif - a man-headed bird. (Compare to SNG Von Aulock 4049 and 4070 for general obverse motif.)
