(horse stepping, legend variation) GRADING: F+, olive green patina with slight spots of encrustation and verdigris ORDER INFO: G2752, $65 A scarce and attractive large bronze from the later Roman period, with a finely styled portrait of the great conqueror, who's appearance here is probably as much a nominal homage paid to the celebrated king's birthplace province as it is a suggestive device of wishful 3rd century Roman emperors.
