Obv: Naked satyr of archaic style squatting to right, six pellets around
Rev: Incuse square divided roughly into four parts

GRADING: VF, toned, slightly porous, high relief, scarce

The scarcer version of the single satyr issues (squatting, as opposed to running) traditionally associated with this mint. However, the actual attribution of all these anonymous types is purely conjectural, and might be better described as "uncertain Thraco-Macedonian". Interesting archaic rendition, with medium wavy hair and no beard or tail, the squatting position unbalanced in way that would presuppose the existence of an object he's actually sitting on. Scarce in general, all the more so with all 6 pellets in the fields in the smaller obol (rather than "trihemi" = 1.5 obol) version.
