A very scarce reverse type altogether, uniquely struck at the Siscia mint and only by Vetranio during his brief reign in 350 AD, both in his own and in the name of Constantius II, whose overlordship he recognized all along. The martial reverse in a sense underscores the gravity of the situation where Constantius was busy settling the Eastern frontier at a time when Magnentius revolted in the West, with Vetranio's legions - in a delicate solution engineered by Constantius' sister - tilting the scales in favor of the legitimate emperor.
