. Exquisite detail on both sides. The reverse cannot be viewed but as some of the more cynical Roman propaganda under the morally bankrupt Caracalla, as the "eternal concord" (among the imperial couple) declared and depicted there was to last no more than a couple of years. Following the framing and execution of her once powerful father at hands of her husband, Plautilla was first downgraded to "estranged wife" and exiled, only to be executed once he was to assume supreme power in 212 AD.
