Cripina was the wife of Commmodus, having married him shortly before his accession, in 177 AD, when she also got the title Augusta. However, she still shared the sad fate of of many in his inner circle and beyond. Having been accused of partaking in a senatorial plot in 182, she was banished to Capri, and executed a year later.
