Another budget version of this interesting early imperial type - clipped, though not countermarked - probably circulated in the contemporaneous Bulgarian state, in the Dobrudja (Danube delta) area. Notable for the fact (partially evidenced on this specimen) that this is the unique type the references Dusan, in Latin, as the "King of Rascia [Serbia], emperor of the Romaion [Byzantines - Romans]". Accomplished rendition of Christ, in the best "Ragusan style" characteristic of certain Rudnik mint issues of the time.
